Hana presents work at WAMBAM

Hana Thompson presented part of her PhD thesis at the Wild Animal Modelling Biannual Meeting in Chizé, France last week. The meeting is a small annual workshop where junior and senior researchers working on using quantitative genetic methods in natural populations meet and discuss the latest in the field. By all accounts Hana’s presentation went well and prompted some nice discussion on how to use quantitative genetic methods in conservation!

Hana Thompson’s research featured in local news!

Hana Thompson’s recent publication on Western burrowing owl conservation breeding programs was recently highlighted by Castanet. The study, published in the Canadian Journal of Zoology, analyzed 30 years of long-term conservation data and found that the breeding program produces balanced sex ratios.
